How brevorise SIA Started
We didn't start with a grand vision. brevorise SIA began because a group of passionate artists got frustrated. We'd spent years learning to paint indoors, following tutorials, copying techniques. But something was missing. The soul wasn't there. So we packed our supplies and headed into Gauja Valley—no plan, just paintbrushes and curiosity.
What we found changed everything. The light shifting across the river gorge. The way shadows dance on limestone cliffs. The raw, unfiltered challenge of capturing it all before the sun moves. That's where real learning happens. Not in controlled studios with perfect lighting. Out there, you learn fast because nature doesn't wait for you.
That first season, something clicked. Our work got better—technically sharper, emotionally deeper. We weren't just copying what we saw. We were having a conversation with the landscape. Other artists noticed. They wanted to know what we were doing differently. So we started sharing what we'd learned. And that's how brevorise SIA became what it is today.
